Looking for a getaway with friends to reconnect, have fun, try new adventures and focus on your well-being?
Our all-inclusive weekend retreats offer a weekend getaway where you can relax and experience a community retreat environment that is friendly, without judgement and is inclusive. Our retreats are geared toward the new and slightly experienced retreat goer.
Immerse yourself in nature at its finest as we are situated beside crown land with acres of untouched forest and direct access to Weslemkoon Lake, an incredible spring fed lake in Addington Highlands just 3 hours from Toronto or Ottawa.
We offer daily yoga/gentle stretch sessions, meditation and breathwork, along with art therapy sessions amidst breathtaking forest views. Explore a serene island for sightseeing, lake views and a laughter yoga session. Take a walk in the tranquil forest to connect with your inner self and uplift your soul. If you seek more adventure take a kayak or canoe and explore our beautiful lake.
Our activities take place outdoors weather permitting, or in our giant geodesic event dome. All our instructors are certified and have years of experience in the wellness and education fields.

Meet Our Session Leaders
Nikki Milligan
“As a Human Flourishing Consultant, I am dedicated to fostering harmony, unity, and wellbeing within individuals and groups. With a rich academic and practical background in positive psychology, happiness studies, and mindfulness, I specialize in helping people thrive by guiding them toward a collective vision of oneness. I believe that people have the power within themselves to cultivate happiness as a lifestyle and forge meaningful connections to contribute to a harmonious and thriving world. My purpose is to guide people to cultivate and transform the limitless possibilities of human connection and personal flourishing through whole being principles and activities.
Embracing life’s constant evolution, I thrive on new experiences and diverse interactions, offering fresh, often humorous perspectives. Living in the present moment is where creativity and fulfillment flourish, and I view life as a journey, playing with its structures rather than being confined by them. Traveling, both literally and through varied experiences, is essential to my wellbeing, as is my ability to help others see beyond their challenges. My approach to life balances play and purpose, always resonating with the music of the moment.”
At the retreats Nikki will be instructing one of her incredible sessions on a local island (weather permitting). Transportation to the island will be provided.
Lisa Colthart
“As a Mom of two teenagers and a high school teacher of Visual Arts and History, I have 25 years experience teaching a wide range of media, grades, levels and abilities. I hope to share the Art of Creation with you at the retreats. The benefits of creating something tactile are numerous, and can promote/enhance mindfulness and balance. Learn about the benefits of art therapy by painting a canvas with us or trying your hand at paper quilling.”
Take your creations home with you from these fun and relaxing sessions.
At the retreats Jenny will be offering morning yoga/gentle stretch sessions geared toward participants fitness levels and experience.
Susie Mitchell – Retreat Director and Session Leader
“As the Retreat Director at Big Rock Eco Retreat, I am thrilled to welcome you to an unforgettable experience! With over 30 years in education as a teacher, consultant, and administrator, I bring a diverse skill set in planning and leading enriching sessions, from intimate workshops to large-scale conferences.
My extensive interactions with thousands of families and individuals have taught me the importance of empathy, understanding, connection, and living a life of kindness and compassion. Prioritizing our mental and physical well-being is essential for us to thrive and to be our best selves for ourselves and others.
As an outdoor enthusiast, I deeply understand the healing connection with nature and the importance of nourishing our souls through quality time in the outdoors both on land and on/in the water.
I look forward to our community fireside chats and intention-setting sessions ensuring your stay leaves you feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and energized through connections, new experiences, fun and laughter.
